So it begins, my last term as a culinary student at OCCI. I know it's cliche, but time really does fly. We got reunited with our cohorts (groups from class that you are with each term) from first term, and it was a tad nostalgic.I have learned so much over the last three terms, and I am starting to see it all come to fruition. The final term for us is Garde Manger, with a class on wines, spirits, and beers. So far, it is incredibly interesting. We started first by going over the history of alcohol in general, than we got more concise with our discussion on wines later in the class. Furthermore, we found out this morning that we have a field trip to an Oregon Winery in our near future (for those of us who are 21 years or older, of course), and I am extremely excited. After our trip to an Organic Farm got cancelled last term, this should be exciting! All in all, it is a good start to the last term, the sun is out, and life is good.
