While I am on the topic of random trips, I happened to take one myself this last weekend. On sort of a spur of the moment decision, I headed up to Salem last weekend with a few friends to visit some people we knew from last year. Good decision. I hadn't seen them in forever and we had a great time. Getting up there was almost hazardous though, it hailed so much that it was difficult not to slide on the road from the build up of ice and it even took out on of my headlights. It did however, clean my car quite well. Sort of. Apparently after it was all done somewhere around 8 birds decided to poop on the exact same spot on my car, the gas cap. I have never been more glad for full service gas stations.

Birds with a vendetta aside, the trip was awesome. Good food, good friends and great times. Even went to Off the Waffle on the way down, I am always happy to introduce more people to the awesomeness that is that waffle house. I am wondering how long it will be until I decide to up and go visit some more people. Probably not for a while, I have been sitting for so long driving lately that I feel like I am getting sore and rigid, but still.
