My groups bake sale was this last week, it was all kinds of aggravating and fun. Nothing ever runs as smoothly as you want it to, and at times like this Murphy's law seems to be especially keen. Murphy's law optimistically informs us that if something can go wrong, it will go wrong. This was especially true on that day.
Besides a few medical and professional obligations keeping a few members out of the fray, there was some product that had magically appeared with the rest of our goods. No one claimed to have made it, but it matched a few things that we needed to have made exactly so we assumed it was made by one of our absentees sometime earlier. Unluckily for us it was really for another team selling goods in the evening. Good it was caught before we sold it.
Despite all this though, we managed to pull everything together and run a successful stand. People enjoyed our product and good times were had by all. Even the people we stole baked goods from were good spirited about it.
