So I have come to the conclusion that it really is the little things in life that make me happy. For example, over spring break, dining services got a brand spankin new floor put into the kitchen. Aside from the fact that the new floor is a wonderful shade of burgundy, it is the most slip resistant ground that I have ever stepped foot on. As most of us know, things tend to get pretty slippery in a busy kitchen. Being confident in the fact that I can walk through a puddle on the kitchen floor and not fall on my face makes me very happy, especially due to the fact that I am incredibly accident prone. Also, because the floor is such a dark color, it is very easy to see all of the bits and pieces that need to be swept up. Speaking of cleaning things and equally exciting as the new floor, all of the equipment on the hot line got put on wheels, making it not only taller, much better for those of us over six feet tall, but much easier to move around and clean under.
