Cloud de Cocoa

Recently I have been spending a lot of up close and personal time with cocoa powder due to the fact that we are making cakes in the bakery and chocolate is a very popular flavor.  Today I came to the conclusion that cocoa powder is the devil.  Whilst preparing a chocolate cake batter, I managed to drop an entire quart container of the bittersweet delight into the mixer while it was running.  The sound of cracking plastic filled my ears along with a cloud of black.  The entire left side of my body was covered in a dense dusting of brown, as well as anything within five feet of the mixer.  Needless to say, that was not a fun mess to clean up.

After literally being vacuumed clean, I still have a lovely film of cocoa on every square inch of myself.  For anyone who has had a similar experience or has a high likelihood of being attacked by cocoa powder, FYI, it is very hard to get out of your clothing.  Unfortunately, this is not the first time that this has happend to me.  On the bright side of things, I have realized the best laundering steps to take in order to keep my whites white.  Spray N Wash, Oxi-Clean and Bleach will all become your best friends when it comes time to scrub-a-dub your chocolaty clothing.
