Join the Baking and Pastry Students at the Oregon Coast Culinary Instiitute and visit the weekly non-profit bake sales! Students have been baking and selling their delicious products to help support the local food bank and to show the public what we have learned the last few terms in school. Each week students offer a selection of cookies, breads and other specialty items.
Holding actual bake sales are a great way for us students to learn what a real life bakery is like, considering the fact that we have to produce the products, come up with the formulas and costing information for every item and "manage" our baking team. Also, we have to format a menu, logo and market our bake sales.
The bake sales will be going on through June 3rd. The early afternoon bake sales are as follows:
May 19th 11am - 3pm
May 26th 11am - 3pm
June 3rd 11am - 3pm
Note: The other Baking and Pastry Class is also doing bake sales during these weeks, however their bake sales will be held during the evening.
