
The Oregon Coast Culinary Institute Baking and Pastry Arts Program students at Southwestern Oregon Community College are planning a Summer Afternoon Tea event from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, at OCCI.
The menu includes chicken salad swans with gorgonzola cheese and red grapes; cucumber sandwiches; roasted tomato sandwiches with fresh herbs and brie cheese; and a fruit and cheese platter including an assortment of fresh summer fruits and berries with imported and domestic cheeses. An assortment of cakes, cookies and tarts also will be served.
The cost is $15 per person and all proceeds will benefit the Baking and Pastry Club. Reservations are recommended for the event.
