We hold chefs table every Friday during the school year except during finals and term breaks. During the Summer the campus is closed on Fridays so Chefs Table will be on Thursdays. You can find the dates available here and more information on the Chefs Table page. * Chefs Table students are now open for Sunday Brunch.*

Oregon Coast Culinary Institute End of Year Celebration:
August 15th, 2013. Each Student will receive 3 invitations to hand out to family for their end of year celebration. The commencement will be held in the PAC, Performing Arts Center at 11:00am. The reception will follow at OCCI.
7th Annual East Meets West Dinner The Oregon Coast Culinary Institute (OCCI) has scheduled the 7th annual East Meets West dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 24th. The popular event will be held in the OCCI lobby on the Southwestern Oregon Community College Coos Campus.
Oregon Coast InvitationalThe Oregon Coast Culinary Institute is planning the Oregon Coast Invitational also known as the Nicholas Harrison Memorial Competition for High School students. This year the event is scheduled on April 13th, 2013. We are accommodating twelve teams and expect all slots to be filled, and to have a waiting list.
Oregon Coast Culinary Camp 2013This summer, a culinary camp for 16-years-and-older high school students who are interested in exploring the culinary and hospitality industry will gather for a five-day intensive cooking program will provide participants opportunities to learn alongside the Institute’s award-winning chef instructors.
La PatisserieIf you would like the luxury of buying delicious, fresh, baked goods on a weekly basis then you need look no further. OCCI has opened a bakery called
La Patisserie to showcase a Baking and Pastry student that has already completed the program.
Follow TEAM USA from Oregon Coast Culinary InstituteCoos Bay, OR. –Southwestern Oregon Community College Media Productions Team intends to provide daily videos of Youth Team USA, as they compete in the International Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany. Youth Team USA, from Southwestern’s own Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, earned the privilege of representing the United States in this competition.
Chef Shawn Hanlin Wins an Emmy Award for Joy of FishingCoos Bay, OR. - “The Joy of Fishing” a TV series, features rivers, lakes and ocean fishing in Pacific Northwest and around the world. It is no ordinary fishing TV series and that is why it took home an Emmy Award at the 48th annual Emmy Awards this month. The series is characterized by knock-out beautiful cinematography, rambling clear waters and shining fish. The program is a sensory experience with a unique twist, a cooking segment.
College culinary school to host Taste of the NorthwestThe Oregon Coast Culinary Institute (OCCI) is hosting an extraordinary evening indulging in the delicacies of the spectacular Pacific Northwest. The event, called Taste of the Northwest, will be held at 5 p.m. on November 18 at OCCI on the Coos Campus of Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC).
